Satellite images from the Victorian Fires

This first satellite image taken at 23/01/06 3:35pm AEDT shows the fires in the Grampains and to the top left, and those in the Brisbane ranges that swept through the town of Anakie in the bottom right. Active fires at the time of the image are marked in red outline. The smoke plume can be seen sweeping across Melbourne. Some photos taken around this time from Melbourne, and some the day before from Rosebud can be seen here.
